Thelma R. Raudabaugh, 96, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday morning, May 4, 2011 at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.

On December 13, 1914 in Adams Township, she was born to Charles and Elzina (Troxel) Nearhood. She married Earl Raudabaugh on June 25, 1937, they later divorced.

Survivors include a son, Lanny R. "Butch" (Connie) Raudabaugh of Willard; daughters, Nancy Kay Englehart and Bette Lynn (Denny) Hartsell both of Tiffin; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and her beloved cat, Dollbaby.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Harold and Charles; sisters, Hildreth M. Holmer and Irene Lois Henney; granddaughter, Debra K. Dell and grandson, Michael Raudabaugh.

Thelma was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and a graduate of Thompson High School in Fireside and attended Tiffin University. She was a switchboard operator at Tiffin Developmental Center for 25 years, retiring in 1981 and an Avon representative since 1945. She also was a cashier at the Ritz Theatre, Tiffin Theatre, and the Old Grand Theatre. She was a member of the Allen Eiry Senior Center, State Public Employees Association, Eagle Auxiliary, and Tiffin Women of the Moose. Thelma enjoyed photography, dancing and decorating.

Her visitation will be Sunday, May 8, 2011 from 4-8 pm at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory.

A funeral service will be Monday, May 9, 2011 at 10:00 am at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with Rev. Donna Van Trees officiating. Burial will follow in York Free Chapel Cemetery in Mount Carmel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church or Community Hospice Care.
