Theresa A. Martorana, 77, of Tiffin, died Thursday afternoon, February 19, 2009, at her home.

October 21, 1931, she was born in Bari, Italy, to Nicholas and Carmella (Lafredo) Fraschini. October 22, 1955, she married Russell D. Martorana.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Russ, two sons, Richard (Mary) Martorana, Joseph (Peggy) Martorana, a daughter, Rose (Craig) Goshe, all of Tiffin, a sister, Donna Ventura of Cleveland, twelve grandchildren, and one expected great-granddaughter.

Preceding her in death along with her parents is a sister, Mary Romano.

Theresa was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she was an Eucharistic Minister. She worked at JCPenney in Tiffin for over 30 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of Eagles Aerie 402, and loved to shop play cards, travel, cook, bake and dance. She was a very cheerful motivated lady with a spirit for life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Monday, February 23, 2009 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424. A Christian wake service will be 1:45 PM.
