Theresa R. Stofer, 89, of Tiffin, passed away Monday afternoon, June 21, 2010 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

On March 1, 1921 in Tiffin, she was born to Dominic and Dedora (Patuto) Vadala. She married Milford Stofer at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tiffin on July 31, 1943.

Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Rechonie of Monroe, MI; Dianna Fruth of Mishawaka, IN; sister, Helen Sherman of Tiffin; a close family friend, Cathy Kurilla of Carleton, MI; 3 grandchildren, Craig (Libby) Fruth, Jeanne Fruth and Todd (Amanda) Fruth; and 6 great- grandchildren, Makayla, Aubrie, Aiden, Carly, Dylan and Kash.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Milford of 52 years; brother, Samuel Vadala; sisters, Carmella "Molly" Cardovado, Nina Turner, Angela Hull, Mary Mission, and a grandson, Bryon Rechonie in 1984.

Theresa was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a homemaker. She was a member of the New Life Heart Club, American Legion Post 169 Auxiliary and DAV Auxiliary. She enjoyed her grandchildren, flower gardening and was a wonderful cook.

Her funeral mass will be 11:00 AM, Friday, June 25, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the mass. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.
