Thomas R. Borer "Tom Tom", 2, of New Riegel, passed away Sunday evening, July 3, 2011.

On August 9, 2008 in Findlay, OH he was born to Paul D. and Christy M. (Nye) Borer and was named after his great uncle, Tom Borer.

Thomas is survived by his parents, sister, Brittany Nye and his brother and best friend, Gavin Borer both at home; grandparents, Robert and Leann Nye of Ada, OH; Daniel and Elaine Borer of New Riegel; great grandparents, Jim and Joan Kirian of McCutchenville; Helen Karg of Carey; Vivian Riegel of Forest, OH; aunts and uncles, Becky Nye, Shannon Curlis, Bobby Nye, Scott Nye, Shawn Conley, Matt Nye, David Borer, Marie Borer, Ellen Huntebrinker, Michelle Borer, JoAnn Borer and many cousins.

Thomas was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Cecil Nye, Lester Riegle, and George and Louise Borer.

Thomas was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel where he was baptized. Anyone that met him knew he loved to talk and had a broad vocabulary with an ability to talk to anyone. He enjoyed playing with his John Deere tractors, riding his bike and tractor, playing in the dirt, going to the park and spending all of his time outside. He always woke up in the morning wanting a mint, ready to make someone laugh. His smiling face will be missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 8, 2011 at 10:30 am at All Saints Parish, New Riegel with Rev. Tim Kummerer officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to mass. Burial will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 4-8 pm at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory where a wake service will begin at 3:45 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Thomas Robert Borer Memorial Scholarship Fund or a scholarship fund for his sister, Brittany and brother, Gavin at The First National Bank, 10 E. Tiffin St., New Riegel, Ohio 44853.
