Thomas Kear, 66, of Tiffin, passed away Friday evening, June 29, 2012 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

On February 26, 1946 he was born to Ralph O. and Naomi J. (Birkmire) Kear.

Survivors include a son, Jim (Ann) Kear of Clyde; a brother, Edward (Donna) Kear of Forney, TX; sister in law, Shirley Kear-Valentine of Tiffin; grandchildren, Paige and Parker Kear and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1965, mother in 2009, brothers, Charles "Chuck" Kear in 1980 and Steven Kear in 2010.

Tom worked at Data Documents and Mager's Lumber Co. for years. He enjoyed watching college sports, especially The Ohio State University football games, reading about the Civil War and westerns.

A Memorial service will be Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. at Faith United Methodist Church, 75 N. Sandusky St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, with Rev. Donna Van Trees officiating.

Friends may visit with the family from 6:30-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the church.

Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
