Thomas G. Williams, of Greensboro, GA, and formerly of Waterville, MN, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at his home.

He was born on March 21, 1943 in Oakland, California to Robert S. and Anna J. (Knopf) Williams.

Survivors include his four daughters, Andrea (Brad) Edwards of Charlotte, NC; Carrie Williams of Harleysville, PA; Molly (David) Reed of Beverly Hills, MI; and Katie (Matt) Bittner of Chagrin Falls, OH; as well as his beloved grandchildren Tyler, Grace, Ryan, Emily, Clay, Nicole, Christian, Megan, Paige, and Lauren. He is also survived by his siblings Kathleen (Stephen) Kelbley of Fountain Hills, AZ; David Williams of Kalamazoo, MI; and Robert (Paula) Williams of Willoughby Hills, OH. He is fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

After living in Oakland, CA, Tom lived in San Jose, CA until his family was relocated to Holland, MI and later to Tiffin, OH where he graduated from Calvert High School in 1961. He attended The University of Notre Dame and graduated in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. In 1973, Tom graduated with a Masters of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Ohio University. Tom was employed by General Electric for many years, and later by Brown Printing Company in Waseca, MN, where he was Vice President and General Manager for 16 years before retiring in 2006.

Tom took great pride and joy in his four daughters and in his young grandchildren. He loved being known as "Grandpa Tom," and loved "doing projects" with his grandkids. Tom immensely enjoyed his many travels and adventures with his brother David. Tom had many beloved friends and colleagues, and enjoyed spending time with them. He was passionate about hunting, fishing, boating, and gardening. Tom was also an avid sports fan. He had a great love of life, a tremendous sense of humor, and above all, he was an extremely generous man.

Tom's life will be celebrated in Tiffin, Ohio on Saturday, September 7, 2013. Visitation will take place at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-2424, from 10am to 12:00 Noon. His Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 Noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
