Timothy J. 'Tim' Nitecki, 66, of Sycamore, died Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
October 31, 1942, he was born in Tiffin to Joseph and Delores (Kuhn) Nitecki. He married Barbara J. Hoerig and they later divorced. October 8, 1988, he married Mary Fadley.
Survivors include his parents, Joseph and Delores, of Tiffin, wife, Mary of Sycamore, three sons, Timothy and Alexander, both of Tiffin, Andrew of Sycamore, two daughters, Christine, of Florida, Amy of Sycamore, two brothers, Bruce Nitecki of Toledo, Joe (Roberta) Nitecki of Tiffin, two sisters, Susan (John) Nitecki, of Worthington, Jean Brock Of Tiffin, and two grandchildren.
Tim was a 1960 graduate of Calvert High School and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He proudly served in the US Army from 1962-1965. He was a member of American Legion Post 250, Sycamore, and was a journeyman plumber for the UA Local 50, Plumbers and Steamfitters for over 35 years, retiring in 2001. He loved the outdoors, was very handy, could make anything, and loved reading, especially about WWII and history.
Funeral Mass 1:00 PM, Friday, November 14, 2008 at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Rev. Eric Culler officiating.
Friends may visit with the family 11:00 - 12:30 PM, Friday, November 14, 2008 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424. Military services conducted by the United Veterans Council are 12:30 PM, at the funeral home.
