Valerie Jean Burger, 53 of Tiffin passed away Saturday evening, July24, 2010 in the Emergency Room at Tiffin Mercy Hospital.

On February 27, 1957 in Tiffin, she was born to Robert and Dorothy (Albert) Smith. She married Robert Joseph Burger on June 1, 1984
in St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Bob; daughter, Kimberly Jean Burger of Columbus; son, Eric Joseph Burger of Port Clinton; mother, Dorothy Smith of Tiffin; father Robert Smith of Tiffin; brother, Bob Smith of Tiffin; nephew, Chad and niece, Kayla.

Val was a 1975 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and a 1977 graduate of Terra Community College and worked for AEP in Fremont, Findlay and Tiffin for over 30 years. She enjoyed attending flea markets and antique shows with her husband and was very talented; making crafts and dolls and selling them in stores in North Carolina.

Her funeral service will be Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 11:00 am at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 from 4-8 pm at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St.; Tiffin, OH 419-447-2424.
