Vera Rose Heyman-Shellhouse-Berry, 90, of Sycamore, passed away Monday, December 27, 2010, at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Upper Sandusky.
She was born February 13, 1920, in Napoleon, to Arnold and Dora (Steele) Heyman Sr. She married Kenneth Shellhouse February 5, 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1971. She married James Berry November 28, 1980, and he preceded her in death in 1987.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy (Gene) Kirby of Upper Sandusky; three brothers, John (Betty) Heyman; David (Dorothy) Heyman and Donald (Kathleen) Heyman all of Tiffin; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and her much loved dogs, Bootsie and Snowball.
Preceding her in death along with her parents, and husbands, are two sons, Kenneth and Klahr Shellhouse; two brothers, James and Arnold Jr. Heyman; four infant brothers; three sisters, Mary Lentz, Frances Shellhouse and Doris Alspach; and a grandson.
Vera was a member of First Lutheran Church. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and supporting her grandchildren's 4H with their horses. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, baking, and playing Bingo.
Her Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, December 31, 2010, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore.
Friends may visit with the family 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Thursday, December 30, 2010, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
