Obituary

Vincent R. "Bing" Fowler, 78, of New Riegel, passed away Wednesday morning, February 25, 2015 at his home.

He was born on June 2, 1936, in Clyde, Ohio, to Lester R. and LaVerne (Glick) Fowler. On July 21, 1973,he married Susan Hoffman.

Survivors include his wife, Susan of New Riegel ; 2 sons, Kirk (Jackie) Fowler of Tiffin and Kyle (Heather Studer) Fowler of New Riegel; daughter, Pam (Ron) Johnson-Shock of Bloomville; 2 sisters, Mardell (Dennis) Remy of Galion and Joyce Fadley of Gold Canyon, AZ; 2 sisters-in-law, Patricia Tippin of Tiffin and Jackie Billmaier of Toledo; 12 grandchildren, Robert, Joseph, John, Mark, Ryan, Erika, Jay, Taylor, Patrick, Anthony, Braydon and Connor; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Vincent David Fowler; sister, Kathleen Bauman; and brother-in-law, Dale Fadley.

Bing graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School, attended Heidelberg College and retired from National Machinery on June 12, 1998 and was a member of the National Machinery Quarter Century Club. He was also a member of the Tiffin Moose Lodge #846, V.F.W. Tiffin Post #2858 and the AmVets Post #48.

He coached Babe Ruth Baseball and was on the "chain gang" for Tiffin Columbian football for 30 years. He was a founding coach and past president of the Tiffin Little League Football and coached the V.F.W. Bengals. Bing was an Ohio State University and Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed gardening, mowing and golf; making a hole-in-one at Seneca Hills and a hole-in-one on a golf course in Michigan.

His funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family from 1-3:00 P.M. and 5-7:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the funeral home. The National Machinery Quarter Century Club will meet in body at 7:00 P.M.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
