Viola M. Randell, 86, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky.

On October 6, 1923, she was born in Kunkle, to Harold and Pearl (Hephner) Laser. On June 5, 1947, she married Robert W. Randell.

Survivors include two sons, Greg (Diane Sorrells) Randell of Grosse Ile, MI; and Ron (Joyce) Randell of Tiffin; a brother, Bill Laser of Sandusky; two sisters, Peggy Lucas of Sandusky; and Barb Gresh of Port Clinton; three grandchildren; Joshua (Nikki) Randell; Seth Randell and Michael Randell;and a great-granddaughter, Eliana.

Preceding her in death along with her parents is her husband, Robert in 1986; two brothers, Bob and Richard Laser; and two sisters, Betty Laser and Pat Netherland.

Viola was a graduate of Port Clinton High School. During WWII, she worked for Erie Proving Grounds in Port Clinton, 5 years at General Electric until they closed, then at the Erie County Court House. She was a member of Port Clinton VFW Auxiliary, Port Clinton Moose and Eagles. She moved to Tiffin in 1949, loved the outdoors, bird watching, and spending time with her grandchildren. Viola was a very complimentary person, making everyone enjoy being around her. She was a born hostess, always compassionate, caring and helping others.

Her Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 23, 2010, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424, with Pastor Kevin Rusk officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family Noon - 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 23, 2010, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home.
