Violet A. Mullins, 100, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday evening, September 14, 2013 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
She was born on September 5, 1913, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Alfred and Rose (Walters) Karp. In 1938, she married Clyde M. Hartsell and he preceded her in death in 1952. She then married William Mullins in 1958 and he preceded her in death in 1999.
Survivors include 2 sons, Robbie Hartsell of Pickerington, OH and Dennis (Bette) Hartsell of Tiffin; six grandchildren, Barbara Hartsell of Tiffin, Thomas (Rohnea) Hartsell of Henderson, NV, James (Jill) Hartsell of Reynoldsburg, Cynthia (James) Hopf of Pataskala, Jeffrey (Lorrie) Hartsell of Georgetown, TX and Darin (Emily) Hartsell of Pickerington; eight great grandchildren; and 2 step-daughters, Alice Gustin of Findlay and Sylvia Eyestone of Orlando, FL.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Paul Karp; two sisters, Augusta Reister and Geraldine Shetterly; and daughter-in-law, Lynn Hartsell.
Violet graduated in 1931 from Tiffin High School, worked at General Electric and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and reading.
There will be no visitation.
Burial will be private at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
