Virginia R. Jacob, 97, of Florida, and formally of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 in Florida.

She was born on September 26, 1921, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Edward J. and Katie M. (Gruber) Houck.  On September 28, 1957, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, she married James H. Jacob and he preceded her in death on September 15, 1988.

Survivors include her son, Gregory P. (Jacquina) Port Orange, FL; daughter, Cynthia A. (Keith) Fuller of Tiffin; five grandchildren, Luke Fuller, Adam Fuller, Ethan Fuller, James Jacob & Daniel Jacob; and great granddaughter, Julia Rose Fuller.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Houck; sisters, Mary Huffman, Ceceilia Adkins, Susie Angelbeck and two infant sisters.

Virginia was a waitress at American Restaurant and a member of St. Vincent de Paul and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #402 Auxiliary.  She enjoyed quilting, gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be at 12:00 Noon on Friday, May 17, 2019 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating.   A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.  A luncheon will follow at Reino's.  Burial will be private in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Carey, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Vincent de Paul.
