Virginia S. Munoz, 78, of Tiffin, died Thursday morning, April 30, 2009 at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay.

On October 3, 1930 in Trenton, NJ she was born to Erwin W. and Ruth (Holt) South. She married Dr. Guillermo J. "Bill" Munoz on September 10, 1960, in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Trenton, NJ.

Survivors include her husband of over 48 years, Bill, four sons, William S. (Deanna) Munoz of Plainsboro, NJ; Mark J. (Kathryn) Munoz of La Jolla, CA; Robert H. (Victoria) Munoz of Philadelphia, PA; Glen S. Munoz of New York City, NY; brother, Donald W. South of Timonium, MD; and seven grandchildren, William, Julia, Natalie, Julian, Siena, Sophia, and Myles.

Preceding her in death are her parents and brother, Robert H. South.

Virginia was an active member of First Lutheran Church having served on several committees. She graduated from Princeton High School in NJ, obtained her degree in nursing from Philadelphia Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, followed by post-graduate studies in pediatric nursing at New York University Hospital. Virginia was head of the pediatric unit and later served as assistant director of nursing at The Helene Fuld Hospital in Trenton, NJ. She was a member of the Junior League of Trenton, NJ. She enjoyed reading, traveling, needle-work and most of all, caring for her home and family.

Her Memorial Service will be 12:00 - Noon, Monday, May 4, 2009, at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Brodbeck officiating.

Friends may visit with the family 11:00 - Noon, Monday, May 4, 2009, at First Lutheran Church.

A private family burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
