Virginia "Ginnie" Wise, 100, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Elmwood Assisted Living, Fremont.

She was born on November 30, 1921, in Seneca County, to David and Floy (Caskie) Painter.  On September 10, 1954, she married Ernest F. Wise and he preceded her in death on December 5, 2011.

Survivors include her son, Ernest (Carol) Wise, Jr. of Tiffin; daughter, Betsy (Kevin) Kistler of Tiffin; three grandchildren, Brian (Kathy) Kistler, David (Kristen) Wise and Brandon (Annabel) Kistler; and four great grandchildren, Dominic Wise, Ella Kistler, Evan Kistler and Eden Kistler.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Eleanor Painter.

Ginnie was a 1939 graduate of Fostoria High School.  She owned a craft store, Wise's on High Banks and was the bookkeeper for the farm and Ernie Wise Plumbing and Heating.  She wrote and had published a poetry book, Ember-Glow and enjoyed playing the piano.  Ginnie was proud of her grandchildren's success and family was everything to her.

Her Service will be private and burial will be in Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to F.A.C.T.
