Obituary

Virginia (Ginny) Zahn died peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at St. Francis Home. Ginny moved through her journey with cancer in the same way that she lived her life - with spirit, strength and humor.

She is survived by her three children: Jeffrey (Catherine) Zahn of Toronto, Canada, Michael (Deborah) Zahn of Hamilton, NY and Christine Morris of Columbus, Ohio; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Wayne Zahn.

Ginny was born in Carey, Ohio on May 9, 1925, the daughter of Ralph and Rosalia Kurtz. She graduated from Carey High School and Tiffin University, leaving the work force to raise her children and to pursue her many interests. She will be remembered for her quick wit, her love of nature and her generosity.
The family would like to thank Dr. Krishnaiah Garlapati and the staff at Tiffin Mercy Hospital, Freidman Villas and St. Francis Home for their kind care and attention to Ginny during her final illness. A very special thank you goes to Carol Jesko and Paul Martarano for their steadfast devotion to Ginny and support of the family over the past year.
