Vita Marie Wagner, 91, of Tiffin, died Sunday evening, November 9, 2008, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
May 13, 1917, she was born in Fostoria, to Elmer and Anna (Koepher) Holman. April 23, 1940, she married. Elmer D. Wagner.
Survivors include two daughters, Rose Ann Werling of Tiffin, Eloise 'Lou' (Mike) Strasser of Upper Sandusky, two sisters, Irma Kneedler, Eileen Loose, both of Tiffin, seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband, Elmer in 1974, are two brothers, Carl and Earl Holman and a sister, Mary Louise Buccione.
Vita was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Rosary Altar Society. She worked as a seamstress for over 10 years at Tiffin Developmental Center. She belonged to the Red Hat Society, Daughters of America, a sewing club and enjoyed sewing for weddings and people in the community.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, November 13, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 15 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, New Riegel.
Friends may visit with the family 4-8 PM, Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424. A Christian wake service will be 4:00 PM.
Memorial contributions can be made to the chapel fund at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
