Wanda B. Meredith, 89, of Tiffin, went to be with the Lord Saturday morning, September 7, 2013 at her son's home in St. Clair, Michigan following a short illness.

She was born on November 4, 1923, in Marysville, MI, to Forest and Arzola (Freeland) Gilbert. On December 31, 1942, she married Neil Meredith, they later divorced and he preceded her in death on December 16, 1999.

Survivors include 2 sons, John G. (Michele) Meredith of St. Clair, MI and Mark D. Meredith of Norwalk; 2 daughters, Becky L. (John) Traxler of Leesville and Debra K. Meredith-Peters of Punta Gorda, FL; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 2 great, great grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Marcia L. Meredith in 1969; brother, DeForest Gilbert; and sister, Marilyn Churchill.

Wanda graduated in 1941 from Flint Central High School and then from Flint Business School. She moved to Tiffin in 1955 and was an executive secretary at Seneca County Board of Education in the early 1970's; retiring after 15 years. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women, the choir, various committees, and part time secretary. She was a past President of the Emblem Club with the Tiffin Elks Lodge #94. Wanda enjoyed traveling, wintering in Florida and volunteering at the sharing kitchen, church, meals on wheels, March of Dimes, and the American Heart Association.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with Rev. Hannah Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
