On August 3, 1925 in Toledo, he was born to John W. and Ruth (Annable) Leemaster. He married Alta May Miller on December 24, 1950.
Survivors include his wife; Alta of 60 years; sons, Lanny Leemaster (Tom Landrus) of Atlanta, GA; Layne (Kay) Leemaster of Helena, OH; Daughter, Sherry (Ken) Curns of rural Tiffin, OH; brothers, Bob Leemaster of Dearborn, MI; Dean Leemaster of Fremont, OH; Harry Leemaster of Elmore, OH; sisters, Jean Hoffman of Helena, OH; Lois Wagner of Port Clinton, OH; and 3 grandchildren, Coral Curns and Holly and Matthew Leemaster.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ray and Clair Leemaster.
Warren was a member of Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church in Fremont and a 1944 graduate of Woodville High School. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1949. He served in Germany until his discharge in 1952. He worked in area home construction and repair until his career started with the Ohio Department of Transportation in 1956. He retired in 1988 as a project engineer for survey and road construction after 37 years. Warren was a member of Fremont Brainard Masonic Lodge #336 and received his 50 year membership in 2008. .
His funeral service will be Friday, July 22, 2011 at 11:00 am at Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church in Fremont with Rev. Jennifer Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Union Cemetery in Old Fort with military honors conducted by the United Veterans Council.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, July 21, 2011 from 4-8 pm at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin and Friday, July 22, 2011 from 10-11 am prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church or to Memorial Home Health and Hospice of Memorial Hospital.
