Wilford "Bill" J. Clouse, 85, of Tiffin, Ohio passed away, Thursday evening, June 16, 2011 at his residence.
On February 2, 1926, in Tiffin, he was born to Charles Alvin and Dorothy Marie (Lutz) Clouse. He married Martha Lena Kohler on May 25, 1965.
Survivors include sisters, Patricia Reinhart of Tiffin; Rita (Dwight) Ruhlen of Newport News, VA; Barbara (Henry) Lodge of Kirby; Charlene Lang of AZ; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Martha of 22 years, brothers, Alvin, Franklin, and Richard Clouse, sister, Ann Holman and infant sister, Pauline Edna Clouse.
Bill was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946 and the U.S. Army from 1946-1965, where he had been stationed in Germany for 6 years. After his honorable discharge, he moved back to Kassle, Germany from 1965-1989. He volunteered at Allen Eiry Senior Center for the past 22 years and was a Life member of the AmVets Post 48, American Legion Post 169, VFW Post 2858 and the DAV.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 4-8 P.M. at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory.
A funeral service will be Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens with military honors conducted by the United Veterans Council.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Allen Eiry Senior Center, FACT, or a charity of the donor's choice.
