Obituary

Willard P. "Will" Heddles, 74, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday evening, January 31, 2017 at Beaumont Hospital in Trenton, MI after sustaining life-threatening injuries due to a car accident.

He was born on February 20, 1942, in Delta, CO to Willard F. and Mary (Walsh) Heddles. On January 4, 1969, he married Patricia A. Moore.

Survivors include his wife, Pat of 48 years of Tiffin; son, Jeff Heddles of Chicago, IL; daughter Kimberly (Eric) Witt of Midway, KY; two grandchildren, Eric Jr. and Katie Witt; sister, Phyllis (Don) Waters of Arvada, CO; brother-in-law, John (Sandi) Moore of Alva, FL; sister-in-law, Donna Heddles of Eads, CO; Japanese foster students from Heidelberg University, Shingo Sakai and Koji Yamada of Japan; and many nieces and nephews.

His parents and a brother, Phillip Heddles, preceded him in death.

Will attended Delta High School in Colorado, Colorado State and Mesa College and graduated from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. He started his career as a funeral director working in Trinidad, CO and in New Mexico. He later became a casket sales representative, moved to Columbus, and met his wife on a blind date. He recognized opportunities and in the early 1970's he oversaw plant operations at the former Tiffin Art Metal. He managed a buyout of the company in 1980, increased sales and revenue and grew Tiffin Metal to what it is today. In 2016, he was named one of the Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur's of the Year in Northwest Ohio. Tiffin Metal has numerous awards and is recognized around the world. Will served on many area boards and committees throughout the years and was very active in Tiffin. He enjoyed traveling with his family, the camaraderie of golfing and vacationing in Florida for many years.

His Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will be private at a later date.

Friends may visit with the family from 2-8:00 P.M. on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
