Obituary

William D. Coffman, 75, of Bloomville, passed away Tuesday morning, January 15, 2013 at his home.

He was born on January 1, 1938 in Tiffin, Ohio, to John and Melva (Feasel) Coffman. On February 7, 1959, he married Phyllis June Agerter and she preceded him in death on September 3, 1994.

Survivors include 2 sons, Robert (Janet) Coffman of Tiffin and Chuck (Amy) Coffman of Attica; 3 brothers, Willard (Alice) Coffman and James (Carol) Coffman, both of Tiffin, and John (Ginny) Coffman of Springfield; 7 Grandchildren, Drew (Andrea) Dentinger, Sarah (Eric) Eilerman, Aaron (Amanda) Coffman, Bree (Chase Wallace) Dentinger, Brandon Coffman, Nick Coffman and Morgan Coffman; and 1 great grandchild, Madie Cain.

Also preceding him in death were his parents; daughter Lori A. Dentinger in 2009; grandson, Logan Coffman; 5 brothers, Raymond, Dick, George, Clarence and Martin; and 3 sisters, Emma Scott, Alice Shaull and Margaret Jean Coffman, as a child.

William attended Old Fort School and worked on the farm with his family. He worked at Excel Wire and Cable in Tiffin for over 10 years; retiring in 1998 and was a member of Operating Corporation, Engineers Local 428 B and UAW Maintenance Mechanic IBEW Local 1270. William collected and restored antique tractors and loved the outdoors; especially gardening and cutting wood and enjoyed stopping at the north end "Pit Stop" frequently. He also enjoyed his Tuesday morning Cardiac Rehab group. He loved teaching his children and grandchildren the meaning of hard work, the importance of family, and enjoying the simple things in life.

His funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
