William F. Herbert, 72, formerly of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday evening, December 16, 2009 at Todd-Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation in Leavenworth, IN.

On July 14, 1931 in Tiffin, he was born to Louis and Marjorie (Elchert) Herbert and they preceded him in death, along with a brother, James A. Herbert on February 24, 2010.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Theresa "Terri" Davis of Coshocton, OH; Susan (John) Langdon of Warsaw; three sisters, Lois (David) Bihn, Joan (Marvin) Nesselhauf, both of Tiffin; and Jan Herbert of Toledo, 3 nieces and 3 nephews.

William was a 1955 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School, active in the Boy Scouts of America and enjoyed being a pilot for small aircraft.

William and his brother, Jim's, memorial Mass will be 11:30 AM, Saturday, March 6, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass.

Friends may visit with the family 10:00 - 11:30 AM, Saturday, March 6, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
