William L. "Bill" Puesey, Jr., 72, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday morning, August 24, 2016 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.

He was born on August 12, 1944, in Tiffin, Ohio, to William Lowell and Gertrude E. (Hayward) Puesey, Sr. He first married Beckie Norum and they later divorced. On September 17, 1989, he married Diane Faris and she preceded him in death on February 23, 2014.

Survivors include his children, William L. (Vickie) Puesey, III of Tiffin, Robert D. (Unice) Puesey of Dayton and Tracy Coen of Dallas, TX; stepchildren, Brett (Amy) Fox of Tiffin and Cheryl Fox of Fort Pierce, Florida; first wife, Beckie Reedy of Texas; brother, Franklin H. (Margaret) Puesey of England; sister, Judy Koch of Tiffin; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Puesey; and an infant brother and an infant sister.

Bill graduated in 1962 from Tiffin Calvert High School and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. After high school, he served in the United States Army from June 19, 1962 to June 18, 1965. He worked as a lab tech at Church & Dwight retiring in 2007. Through the years, Bill was a member of the United Veterans Honor Guard and past president of the United Veterans Council, member of the American Legion Post 169 where he was the past commander, member of the Tiffin Moose #846 and he was a life member of the Amvets Post 48. Bill was an organizer for area Memorial Day parades and was a talented woodworker, enjoyed the outdoors, golfing and watching the Cleveland Indians. He was a quiet man who was proud of his grandchildren and loved his family.

His funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Kishore Kottana officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the United Veterans Council.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-8:00 P.M. on Sunday August 28, 2016 at the funeral home.
