William M. "Bill" Black, 61, of Tiffin, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, September 22, 2024, in Lakeview, Ohio.
He was born on October 10, 1962, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Thurman and Anna (Dugan) Black. On November 12, 1988, he married Julie Painter, and she preceded him in death on January 31, 2022.
He is survived by his son, Adam (Cassandra) Black, granddaughter, Anna Black; and a grandchild due in October of New Riegel; daughter, Jocelyn Black of Columbus; sister, Caroline (Junior) Kuhn of Bascom; brothers, Jim (Suzanne) Black, John (Joyce) Black and Steve (Nancy) Black, all of Tiffin; sister-in-law, Nancy Black of Norwalk.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Thomas Black.
Bill graduated in 1981 from Tiffin Columbian High School and from Terra Technical College with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked at Ameriwood for 20 years and at Concordance (Seneca Medical) for the past 10 years. Bill was a member of All Saints Parish, Healing Hearts, Elks Lodge #94, Moose Lodge #846, and the Seneca County Port Authority. He enjoyed riding his Harley, traveling, camping, going to parties, hanging out with friends and loved his grand dog, Georgia. He was able to exhibit his ultimate joy when he was with his granddaughter. His time spent with her was his absolute favorite.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, September 30, 2024, at All Saints Parish, New Riegel with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 1-5:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.

Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Parish and Route 30 Harley-Davidson in Upper Sandusky for benefits.
