William R. "Bill" Schaade, 77, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at St. Francis Home.
He was born on July 8, 1935, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Robert J. and Helen M. (Hoffman) Schaade.
Survivors include 2 brothers, Mike Schaade of Mt. Vernon and Jerry (Evelyn) Schaade of Sommerset, KY; 3 sisters, Mary Schaade and Ethel (Jack Schleter, both of Tiffin and Sue Ann Tucker-Taylor of Youngstown; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 brothers, Paul, John "Jack" and Jim Schaade.
Bill worked at Tiffin Glass House and then at Webster Mfg. for 13 years. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a member of the Salvation Army of Tiffin men's club and also did volunteer work for them. Bill was a Cleveland Indians and a Cleveland Browns fan, enjoyed walking and loved his dog, Blackie, his best buddy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Roemmele officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.
Friends may visit with the family from 10-11:45 A.M. on Tuesday at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
