Allan E. Simpkins

Allan Simpkins, 79, of Tiffin, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Heritage Village of Clyde.

He was born on July 21, 1943, in Tiffin, Ohio to the James and Opal (Hannam) Simpkins. He married Lorena Simpkins and they later divorced.  He married Michela “Mickey” Harrington on January 29, 1993 and she preceded him in death on January 20, 2018.

Allan is survived by his sons Mike Simpkins of Arizona; and Perry Simpkins of Columbus; his daughters Pam (Pat) Ratcliff of Fremont; Judy Riley of Tiffin; brother, Richard “Richy” Simpkins; sisters Carol Breitigam, Marcy Simpkins, eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Lorena, second wife Mickey and a brother, James “Jimmy” Simpkins.

Allan was a quality inspector for many years, retiring from Honeywell. He loved building model trains and watching trains with his family. Allan liked big TV’s, the latest gadgets and working with wood. He was a hard worker and helped others when they needed it. 

His Graveside Service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, with Father Thomas Abraham officiating. Burial at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 12-1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424.
