Anna M. Elchert 81, passed away Friday evening, May 20, 2022, at her home in New Riegel surrounded by family.
On January 26, 1941, in Seneca County she was born to Victor J. and Lena (Schock) Daniel. She married Floyd J. Bouillon January 16, 1960, and he preceded her death on May 18, 1975. Anna married Frederick V. Elchert, Sr. on September 17, 1993, and he preceded her in death on July 19, 2019.
Survivors include her children, Marie (Gary) Schalk of New Riegel; Elizabeth “Betty” Hammer of Helena; Sharon (Jeffrey) Perry of Tiffin; Randall (Michiko) Bouillon of New Riegel; Kristine (Jeffrey) Lucius of New Riegel; two brothers, Thomas (Denice) Daniel of Bascom; Michael (Deb) Daniel of Tiffin; sisters, Kathleen (William) Meyer of Arcadia; Mary (Wayne) Groweg of Gibsonburg; Victoria Lauer of Tiffin; step daughters, Jane (Robert) Clouse of Tiffin; Rose (Tim) Cornett of Melmore; Ruth Wade of Tiffin; Lori (Chuck) Austerberry of Chesanning, MI; 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son in law, Ken Hammer, brothers, George and Edward Daniel, sister, Evelyn Daniel, step sons, Frederick Elchert, Jr., and William Elchert and step son in law, Robert Wade.
Anna was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel, the Rosary Altar Society, a 1959 graduate of Tiffin Calvert, and a member of the New Riegel Women of the Moose. She worked at Honeywell in Fostoria for over 25 years and was a hardworking farm wife who was devoted to her faith and dedicated to her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 10:00 AM at All Saints Parish, New Riegel with Rev. Timothy Kummerer and her nephew, Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow next to her first husband, Floyd in St. Boniface Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed 30 min. prior to Mass.
Friends may visit and share stories on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 4-8 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory.
