Arthur Schreiner Obituary

Arthur J. Schreiner, 80, of New Riegel, passed away on Monday evening, January 30, 2023 at his home.

He was born on January 6, 1943, in Seneca County, to Earl and Agnes (Gillig) Schreiner.  On April 23, 1971, he married Mary C. Benner.

Survivors include his wife, Mary C. Schreiner of New Riegel; 14 children, Jeremy Schreiner, Brandan (Laura) Schreiner and Deanna (Bill) Lucius, all of New Riegel, Ryan (Jihae) Schreiner of New York, Corey Schreiner and Garrett Schreiner, both of New Riegel, Derriek (Nicki) Schreiner of Tiffin, Kendra (Scott) Foos of Fostoria, Miranda (Courtney) Hessick of Green Springs, Alicia (Matt) Reinhart of Tiffin, Erin (Jacob) Brubaker of Burgoon, Brittany (Dan) Brown of Georgia, Dannette (Doug) Kelbley of New Riegel and Andrew (Trisha) Schreiner of Tiffin; brother, Leonard Schreiner of Fostoria; sisters, Shirley Hammer of Burgoon and Rosemary (Harland) Arbogast of Tiffin; 34 grandchildren; and one grandchild on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Orland Schreiner.

Arthur was a life-long farmer and hauled lime for area farms for 20 years.  He was devoted to following the Bible, traveled to 49 states, enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing Euchre, antiques, vacationing with family and loved family get-togethers.

Private family services were held.

Memorial contributions may be made to NBS Joint Fire District & EMS or to F.A.C.T.
