Barbara G. (Henon) Steward

Barbara G. “Barb” Steward, 67, of Bloomville, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at her home.

She was born on February 29, 1956, in Tiffin, Ohio to Ray and Maggie Maydoll (Jackson) Henon.  On November 26, 1976, she married William Steward, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, William Steward, Jr. of Bloomville; stepfather, Joe Halcomb of Tiffin; brother, Andrew (Diana) Halcomb of Tiffin; sister, Tracy (Tony) Halbeisen of Green Springs; half siblings, Billy Henon, Larry Henon, Barbara Henon, Molly Henon; and she loved all her nieces and nephews, especially, Hailey, Addison, Emily, Melinda, J.J. Jessie and Rhonda.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Henon; mother, Maggie Halcomb; son, Jason A. Steward; and sister, Martha J. Williams.

Barb was a 1974 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School.  She worked at Heidelberg College for Aramark, cooked at Hickory Inn and at the Corner Restaurant in Bloomville and in the kitchen at Sentinel Vocational Center for over 15 years. She was a Washington Redskins fan, loved her dogs, especially Maggie and enjoyed going to flea markets, visiting Washington D.C., watching Western movies, being at home, loved family time and spending time with her great nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Service will be at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 04, 2023, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Pastor James David Spradelin officiating.  Burial will be at a later date in Seneca Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 P.M. until the time of the Service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
