Bernita May Tippin, 93, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday afternoon, June 3, 2021 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
She was born on September 28, 1927, in Seneca County, Ohio, to Ralph W. and Mary Ethel (Feasel) Nighswander. On October 23, 1948, she married the love of her life, Glen W. Tippin and he preceded her in death on June 10, 2015.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Lou (Marcus) Brown of Fostoria; special nephews, David (Cheri) Brown, Michael (Christina) Brown and Joel (Patti) Brown; close friends, Susie and Howard Reinhart, Jane and Darl Elchert and Gary and Joanne Scheifer; and special caretaker, Connie Lucius.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Maurice Nighswander; and sisters, Annabelle Shaull and Joan Lloyd.
Bernita was a 1945 graduate of Old Fort High School and was a bookkeeper at the Cadillac Dealership in Fremont and the Buick Dealership in Tiffin. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, and enjoyed being at home and church, reading, traveling and spending time with her husband, Glen.
Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Pastor Clayton Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.
