Betty E. Baker, 90, of Tiffin, passed away early Monday morning, on June 29, 2020 at her home with her family beside her.
She was born on October 2, 1929, in Bloomdale County, Ohio, to Roscoe and Florence (Brandeberry) Drew. On January 10, 1950, she married the late Ralph Baker, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Jerry (Peg) Baker, Ray (Sharon) Baker, Theresa (Mark) Stover, Jim (Annette) Baker, Kevin (Amy) Baker all of Tiffin; Steve Cleveland of Montana two sisters, Della Overly and Joan Simpkins; eight grandchildren, Rebecca Baker, Amy (Josh) Thacker, Erin (Brad) Faryniarz, Jake Stover, Tara Baker, Ryan Baker, Sidney Baker, Hailey Baker; and 2 great-grandchildren, Sara and Christopher Thacker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers, Edward, Earl, Charles, Alton Drew and three sisters, Marge Burns, Barbara Schubert, and Donna Burns.
Betty attended Tiffin Columbian and was a homemaker. She worked at the Tiffin Glass Factory and at Hilda and Ray’s Restaurant. After her marriage, Betty helped her husband of 54 years with the family farm located in Clinton Township. She assisted her husband with all aspects of the dairy farm, including washing the milk equipment, cleaning the milk house and feeding the many calves.
Burial will take place at Pleasant Ridge (Egbert) Cemetery, Friday, July 3, 2020 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Jesse Caro officiating. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Baptist Church, Tiffin.
