Beverly J. “Bev” Kline, 84, of Tiffin, passed away Friday afternoon, January 29, 2021 at St. Francis Home.
She was born on August 26, 1936, in Willard, Ohio, to Roy and Iva (Link) Wurts, on February, 12, 1956, she was married to Gaylen Kline.
Survivors include her husband, Gaylen Kline of Tiffin, daughters Chirsty (Barry) Gordon of Maumee, Micki Alspach of Tiffin and sons: Mark (Janet) Kline of Tiffin and Alan Kline of Texas, brother Richard (Karla) Wurts of Attica, sisters Marilyn (Wayne) Hartschuh of Bucyrus, Janis (Bill) Goeller of Perrysburg, nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Bev graduated in 1954 from Seneca East High School and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where she was in the choir, assisted the youth group, worked in the sharing kitchen, served on various boards and committees, and made apple dumplings for the Heritage Festival. Bev was active in the Antique Club of Tiffin, held several offices with Kiwanis Club and Key Club, Y-Wives, served on the Board of Directors for the YMCA and volunteered along with her husband with Habitat for Humanity. Bev was a certified swim official; judging and timing many swim meets, she enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, and camping as the kids were growing up. Bev loved baking and shared her gift of baking to others at Christmas time. When most people retire, Bev worked at Jeffrey Jewelry for a few years. She will be remembered as a loving and caring lady that volunteered for everything and put her family first. She supported her children and grandchildren at school and sporting events and was always available to help those she saw in need.
Her Services will be private and burial will be in the Attica-Venice Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church.
