Carmella (Lebel) Price

Carmella R. Price, age 87, passed away peacefully at home May 4, 2020.

Carmella was born January 7, 1933, in Hamlin Plantation, Aroostook County, Maine, to Anthelm and Rose (Marquis) Lebel.

On January 5, 1955 she married Harold C. Price in Van Buren, Maine.  The couple traveled south to Tiffin where Harold returned to employment at American Standard, following his time in the US Air Force.  Carmella was a busy homemaker, needleworker, and mother to three children, Rosemary Roe, Charlene (Thomas) Rees, and Brian Price.  Once her children were grown, Carmella enjoyed working for seniors in the community who needed help with cleaning and painting.  In their later years, Harold and Carmella enjoyed traveling, especially to her beloved home state of Maine.

She is survived by her children; grandson, Justin (Katie) Talmadge and 2 great grandsons, Max and Jet; and granddaughter, Emily Rees (Andrew Gahagan) and a soon to arrive great granddaughter.

Carmella was preceded in death by Harold, her husband of 61 years; her parents; and siblings Rita, Lionel and Therese Lebel.

The family wants to thank all in the Mercy Health system who cared for Carmella over the years. In addition, they extend much gratitude to the special people at Bridge Hospice who were so kind in Carmella’s final weeks of life.

Services will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Hospice, or to the Humane Society of Seneca County where she adopted her precious cat, Periwinkle.
