Charles Brendle Obituary

Charles “Chuck” A. Brendle, 68, of New Riegel, passed away on Friday evening, October 15, 2021, at Mercy Health – Tiffin surrounded by his family.

He was born October 13, 1953, in Tiffin, to Robert and Eunice (Adams) Brendle.

Chuck graduated in 1971 from Hopewell-Loudon High School.  On March 30, 1973, he married his high school sweetheart Joan R. Kieffer.   He was a local farmer and served on the Hopewell-Loudon School Board for eight years.  He was also an active member of the Mustang Club of Ohio. Chuck retired from Alvada Construction on October 18, 2019, after 35 years as the Alvada Trucking Manager.

Chuck loved watching his children and grandchildren compete in athletic competitions as well as taking his award-winning 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 to car shows.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joan Brendle of New Riegel; four children, Deanna (Jason) Faryniarz of Findlay, Jayme Brendle (Julie Papandrea) of Baltimore, Maryland, Kimberly (Tyler) Sparks of St. Louis, Missouri, and Tracey (Kris) Walters of Fostoria; nine grandchildren, Rylee Walters, Caleb Hinton, Ezekiel Sparks, Lydia Walters, Selah Sparks, Ashlyn Walters, Phoebe Sparks, Hayden Harrell, and Naomi Sparks; two sisters, Beverly (David) Dundore of Tiffin and Mary (Vaughn) Moore of Fostoria; and three brothers, Ronald (Sandi) Brendle, Robert (Maureen) Brendle II, and Jay “Fred” Brendle, all of New Riegel.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life service will be celebrated on Saturday, December 4, 2021, from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 p.m at New Riegel American Legion Post #354, with a dinner being provided.
