Charles "Sonny" Company Obituary
Charles L. “Sonny” Company, 81, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
He was born on July 16, 1942, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Oscar “C.J.” and M. Eulalia (Blust) Company.
Survivors include his sons, Todd (Janet) Company, David Company and Chet (Rena) Company, all of Tiffin; daughters, Lynn Gabel of Tiffin and Denise (Jerry) Searfoss of Arcadia; sisters, Jeannine M. Gaietto, Rita C. (Frank) Dariano and Mary Ann (Edward) Market, all of Tiffin and Elaine Heise of Port Clinton; five grandchildren, Brandon and Corey Gabel, Cole Cook, and Colton and Trinity Company; and three great grandchildren, Cooper, Wyatt and Oaklend Cook.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Dave Gabel; brothers, Thomas J. Company, John W. Company and Robert J. Company; and sister, Doris L. Kromer.
Sonny attended Tiffin Calvert High School and served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1965. He worked at Crabil Construction, H & S, Inc. and retired in 2015 from M & B Asphalt Co. Sonny was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, life member of AmVets Post 48, VFW Post 2858, American Legion Post 169, DAV and the Sandusky River Coon Hunters Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, playing shuffleboard, yardwork and cooking for the Coon Hunters.
His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the United Veterans Council.
Friends may visit with the family from 4-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at the Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sandusky River Coon Hunters Association or to a local Veteran’s Organization.
