Daniel T. Vassalle, 67 of Wauseon and formerly of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022, in Wauseon.
On February 4, 1955, in Tiffin; he was born to Richard A. and Virenia (Wertz) Vassalle who preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son and daughter; sisters, Mary (Richard) Bridinger of Tiffin; Annette (Randy) King of Republic; Torrie (Dave Wise) Stahl of Tiffin; brothers, Joseph (Estella) Vassalle of Tiffin; Richard Vassalle of Maryland; Dominic (Diane) Vassalle of Fostoria; Patrick Vassalle of Sandusky; Antonio (Lori) Vassalle of San Juan Capistrano, CA; Michael Vassalle of Fostoria; Timothy Vassalle of Tiffin; and stepmother, Marcia Vassalle of Tiffin; close friend and cousin, Joe Price of Tiffin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dan was a graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School, Terra Technical College, and Owens Community College. He worked as a Robotic Engineer for automotive manufacturing for many years around the area and England before retiring in 2007. He loved playing the guitar, self-taught on both the acoustic and electric guitar. He enjoyed being outdoors, kayaking, fishing, watching OSU and Browns football, gardening, visiting area parks and very particular about his yardwork. Dan was a quiet guy that made many friends over the years.
Friends may visit and share stories on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from1-3:00 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory. A graveside service will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
