David Edward Hedden, 83, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.
He was born on April 15, 1937, in Kansas, Ohio, to Lawrence Edward and Marjorie Pearl (Johnson) Hedden. On May 15, 1965, in St. Mary Catholic Church, he married Sharon Heck
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Hedden of Tiffin; son, Chris (Jennifer) Hedden of Toledo; daughter, Stephanie (Scott Cook) Hedden of Tiffin; brother, Larry (Irene) Hedden of Sarasota, FL; five grandchildren, Josh Chavez, Alaina, Alexandra, Allyson and Christopher Hedden; and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
David graduated in 1955 from Jackson Liberty High School and served and played football in the United States Army, stationed in Hawaii. He was an Autobody Work Technician for over 20 years at Rose Motors and a Material Damage Adjustor for over 15 years at Erie Insurance; retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Tiffin AmVets Post 48, was an Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan, enjoyed going to car shows, cleaning his cars, day trips, trips to the casino and his dog, Pedro. David loved his wife, children and grandchildren.
His visitation will be private. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Matthew Rader officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Seneca County.
