Donald E. Arter, III

Donald E. “Don” Arter, III, 46, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday, October 03, 2023 at Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center.

He was born on November 18, 1976, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Donald E. and LuAnn (Huffman) Arter, Jr.  On September 18, 2004, he married Tamra Magill.

Survivors include his father, Donald Arter, Jr. of Tiffin; wife, Tamra Arter of Tiffin; son, Domonic Arter at home; sister, Lora (Rick) Stombaugh of Republic; in-laws, Dan and Tammy Gadberry of Clyde; sister-in-law, Dayna Gadberry of Bellevue; brothers-in-law, Chris (Nicki) Magill of Tiffin and Brandon Gadberry of Bellevue; nephews, Cody (Alyssa) Stombaugh, stationed in Guam, Austin Stombaugh of Republic, Christian (fiancé, Maddi Spencer) Magill of Tiffin, Donavan Magill of Tiffin, Austin Casteel of Bellevue and Connor Casteel of Bellevue; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Don was a 1996 graduate of Seneca East High School and for the past five years he worked maintenance at Tiffin West Apartments.  He was the assistant coach for his son, Domonic’s Tiffin Youth Football League team, the Eagles and coached his Little Leage baseball team.  Don loved spending time with his family.

His funeral service will be at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. 

Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 P.M. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his son, Domonic Arter.
