Donald E. “Don” Kline, 85, New Riegel, passed away Friday afternoon, April 26, 2019 at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria.
He was born on June 8, 1933, in Bascom, Ohio, to Virgil and Glenda (Shuff) Kline. On June 27, 1953, he married Mary Margaret Siebenaller and they celebrated 65 years together.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Margaret of New Riegel; sons, Richard (Carol) Kline of New Riegel, Paul (Marianne) Kline and Dennis (Michelle) Kline, both of Tiffin; daughter, Diane (Darryl Bamm) Kline of Cadillac, MI; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Kline; and sister, Dorothy Watson.
Don graduated in 1950 from Hopewell Loudon High School, worked at GE for 24 years until it closed and later retired from New Riegel Schools as the bus co-coordinator. He was a life-long farmer, member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel (former member of St. Boniface Catholic Church) and Sandusky Coon Hunters. He enjoyed square dancing, fishing, hunting, camping around Ohio and spending as much time as he could at his cabin in Michigan. Don spent many Saturday mornings with the “guys” drinking coffee at Paul’s Market and Sonny Jacks in New Riegel.
His Funeral Mass will be at All Saints Parish, at the New Riegel Site on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery.
