Dorothy E. (Smith) Lucius

Dorothy E. Lucius, 83, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2022 at St. Francis Home.

She was born on January 5, 1939, in Wood County, to Harley and Edith (Jacobs) Smith.  On August 24, 1963, she married Ralph Lucius.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Lucius of Tiffin; son, Craig (Ellen) Lucius of Tiffin; daughters, Connie (Dan) Nielsen, Lisa (Steve) Smith and Nicki (Matt) Rumschlag, all of Tiffin daughter-in-law, Teresa Lucius of Bloomington, IN; brother, Dave Smith of Pemberville; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronald J. Lucius; and brothers, Raymond, Arthur, William and Wayne.

Dorothy graduated from Pemberville High School.  She was co-owner of Lucius Fence and sold Avon.  Dorothy was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where she volunteered for the festival and at Bingo. She enjoyed bowling, Bingo, attending rabbit shows, square dancing, watching Calvert sports, and working with her flowers.    

Her Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Rader officiating.  A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass.  Burial will be at a later date in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
