Elizabeth “Lisa” Trout King, 64, of Tiffin, passed away Friday morning, July 24, 2020 at The Arbors of Oregon in Oregon, Ohio.
Lisa was born November 30, 1955 in Osterburg, PA to Charles R. and Melba E. (Bussard) Trout. She was married to Curtis L. King for 42 years.
She is survived by her brothers, Daniel, Martin (Tylene), and Stanley (Ruth) Trout, and preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jeffrey Trout.
Lisa earned a Bachelor Degree from Heidelberg College, a Master’s Degree from The Ohio State University in Vocal Pedagogy, where she studied with Helen Swank. She also studied at the American Institute of Musical Studies, Graz, Austria.
Lisa had a life-long passion for singing. She taught music at Attica Elementary, Seneca Huron Elementary, Mohawk, Melmore Elementary, and McCutchenville Elementary. She taught voice at University of Findlay. She taught voice lessons to many different students over the years privately and through the Heidelberg Community School of Music. She was director of senior choir and handbell choir at Grace Lutheran Church in Fremont and served as Music Director for numerous musicals at Tiffin Columbian High School.
Lisa was an active member of First Lutheran Church, sang in the Senior Choir and was active with the Monday Evening Women’s Bible Study.
A memorial service will be held in Tiffin, at First Lutheran Church, 300 Melmore Street, Saturday, July 17 at 10:30 a.m. the Reverend Clayton Bailey & Reverend Mark Bishop, officiating.
Cremated remains were laid to rest at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Cincinnati, OH.
Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heidelberg University Music Department, First Lutheran Church, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
