Elladonna "Ellie" (Rhine) Little

Ellie Little, age 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the Willows of Tiffin.

She was born in Burlington, Indiana on September 29, 1929 to Basil and Mary R. Rhine. She married Billy R. Little in Kokomo, Indiana and they later divorced. 

Surviving are her children, Anna L. (Thomas) Berry of Tiffin and John R. (Jennifer) Little of Clover, SC; grandchildren, Brandon Berry of Oak Harbor, WA and Abby, Maggie and Briar Little; great-granddaughter, Evie Rose Midgett of SC; and several family members in Indiana and extended family members in Ohio. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Lee "Pepper" Rhine; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Ellie graduated from Burlington High School, Burlington, IN in 1947 and the Indiana School of Cosmetology, owning Ellie's Beauty Shop in Kokomo, IN for several years. She also retired from Tiffin City Schools having worked as a Custodian.  She was a member of the Church of Christ in Kokomo, IN and American Legion Auxiliary, Tiffin.  She had many interests and in her younger days, traveling to Chicago for Conventions and shopping, as well as trips to New York City via train.  In recent years, she enjoyed Bingo, trivia and the occasional trip to the casino.   She also loved a good burger and Hoosier tenderloins.  

There will be no services at this time. 

Hoffmann-Gottfried Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.

The family would like to thank the Willows and ProMedica Hospice for impressive care they gave to her.
