Evelyn Heyman Obituary

Evelyn M. “Evie” Heyman, 94, of Tiffin and formerly of Groveport, Ohio, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020 at St. Francis Home.

She was born on July 29, 1926, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Flavel and Leona (Shultz) Heyman. 

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Flavel J. Heyman and Donald Heyman; and sister, Joanne L. Phelps.

Evie graduated in 1944 from Tiffin Calvert High School, attended The Ohio State University and graduated from Capital Law University as a certified legal assistant.  She retired from the Order of United Commercial Travelers, Columbus after 43 years of service and from the U.S. Naval Reserve after 23 years.  Evie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, GK Ladies Club, past president of UCT OH Secretary-Treasurer ‘s Association, past Counselor of UCT Council #1, UCT Grand Executive Committee member, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed traveling and going to casino’s.

A private graveside service will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
