Fred Zadrazil, Sr. Obituary

Fred F. Zadrazil, Sr. 98, of Tiffin and formerly of Brook Park, passed away Friday morning, November 27, 2020 at his daughter’s home.

On April 7, 1922 in Cleveland, he was born to Joseph and Anna (Knize) Zadrazil.  He married Marie T. Grateful on January 8, 1944 and she preceded him in death in 2003.

Survivors include his children, sons, Fred F. Zadrazil, Jr. of Elyria; Joseph L. (Sarah) Zadrazil of Toledo; daughters, Gloria M. (Stephen) Fisher of Tiffin; Rosemary B. (Thomas) Niple of Creola, OH; Mary Jo T. (Frank) Simcic of Chagrin Falls; Anne Marie J. Zadrazil of Denver, CO; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marie of 59 years, brothers, Lawrence and Joseph Zadrazil, Jr., sisters, Helen Weiss, Eleanor Ruzicka and 2 grandchildren.

He was a devoted Catholic and former member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Cleveland and Mary Queen of the Apostles in Brook Park and currently a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin.  Fred served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army with the 264th Field Artillery in Europe from Feb 9, 1943 through his honorable discharge on November 2, 1945.  He worked many years with E.S. Hauserman and later retired.  Fred moved to Tiffin eight years ago to be closer to family and was a member of the Allen Eiry Senior Center and the American Legion Post 169.

A private family visitation will be held with a Mass of Christian Burial taking place Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 36 Melmore St., Tiffin, OH 44883 with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating and will be live streamed at  https://boxcast.tv/view/fred-zadrazil-funeral-uxgg3mruhc0zuedkmal6.  Burial will follow in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Brook Park at 2:00 PM with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Cleveland or to Stein Hospice.
