Gordon H. “Herb” Wallace, 86, of Tiffin and Canada, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Mercy St. Rita Hospital.
He was born in Boston, MA on May 23, 1934, to Allison Gordon and Ida Marie (Fougere) Wallace. On April 13, 2009, he married Donna J. (Corthell) Mackling.
Survivors include his wife, Donna J. Mackling-Wallace of Tiffin; sons, Gary (Jennifer) Wallace of Nova Scotia, Canada and Douglas (Caroline) Wallace of Alberta, Canada; daughter, Barbara (Glenn) Priestley of Ontario, Canada; three grandchildren; Jillian, Shaun and Stephanie one great grandchild, Malcolm, all in Canada.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and Mary Wallace, mother to his three children.
Herb grew up in New Brunswick, Canada and had dual citizenship to both the United States and Canada. He graduated from High School in Moncton, New Brunswick, went to NB Business College and then served several years in the Royal Canadian Airforce as an Aircraft Instrument Technician. He had his own manufacturing business in Nova Scotia, Canada designing & selling fish processing machinery. Herb moved to Tiffin 2 ½ years ago after marrying Donna and he enjoyed wintering in Florida, traveling, listening to music, playing the organ and was a great story teller.
There will be no services at this time. A Memorial Service will be at a later date in Canada.
Memorial contributions may be made to a local Kidney Foundation.
