Harold L. Coffman, 76, of Tiffin passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023, after a valiant twenty-seven years battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
He was born Dec. 21, 1946 to Karl and Helen Coffman. He married Cheryl (Sherry) Speelman on Aug. 6, 1966 in Alvada and she survives.
He is also survived by two daughters, Kelly (Greg) Depinet of Texas and Christine (Erin) Moyer of Tiffin; brother, Paul (Nancy) Coffman; sister-in-law, Linda Coffman; eight grandchildren, Ben Hilkert, Kevin Lewis, Sam (Rashae) Hilkert, Jenna (Brennan) Santaniello, Allen Hilkert, Sally Hilkert, Elizabeth Moyer and Jonah Moyer; and three great grandchildren, Kenlee, Abel and Lincoln
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Daniel Coffman and Wayne Coffman; and son-in-law, Clay Lewis.
Harold graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1965 and later attended Terra Technical College, Owens Community College and Bowling Green State University. He worked at General Electric for nineteen years, until it closed. He then worked for Sycamore Industries, Findlay Industries, P & A, Seneca Environmental, and OCECO as a quality control manager, before starting his own business, Diversified Technical Services, doing consulting work.
Harold was a member of the Army Reserves for six years and a member of the Moose Lodge for many years.
From a very early age, Harold had a love for Corvettes, which continued for his entire life. He owned Corvettes from nearly every decade, enjoying the car shows and activities with friends with this similar interest. He enjoyed attending auto races and was part of a pit crew for his dear friend who raced Corvettes. Harold was also a devoted fan of Ohio sports teams, his favorites being the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and Ohio State University football teams. Some of his other interests throughout his life were bowling, playing euchre, and camping with family and friends. Harold enjoyed having a family pet almost all of his life.
A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Family and friends may visit with the family from 12:00 Noon until the time of the Service on Saturday at the funeral home.
