Howard “Butch” F. Hushour, 81, of Burgoon, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at his home.
On October 9, 1939, in Melmore, Ohio, he was born to Lawrence and Madeline (Railing) Hushour. He married Linda Garn on July 24, 1965, and she survives in Burgoon.
He is also survived by two sons, Matthew Hushour of Fremont and Michael Hushour, Kansas, OH.; two grandchildren, Tyler and Madelynn Hushour, both of Fremont; three sisters, Anna Mae McClintock of Tiffin, Elnora (Phillip) Snyder and Connie (Darl) Kritsinger, both of Melmore; and sister-in-law, Janet Sleck of Burgoon.
He was preceded in death by his parents;, and brother Lawrence “Gene” Hushour.
Butch was a 1959 graduate of McCutchenville High School and served in the United States Navy. In 1959 he studied in Sub School and went on board USS Halfbeak 352. In September of 1962, he was honorably discharged. Butch worked for United Appraisal and then worked at National Machinery for 36 years. He traveled the U.S. and several countries installing and repairing machines; and retired in 2000. After retirement, he worked at Nature Trails Golf Course and loved the game of golf. He attended Rock Solid Church of God in Kansas, Ohio and enjoyed playing softball, playing ball with his sons and helped coached Little League baseball in Burgoon.
His funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Pastor Chuck Snelling officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Greenlawn Memory Garden, Clyde.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Service on Saturday at the funeral home.
