Jack Wesley Kramer

Jack Kramer, 78, of Vermilion and formerly of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Kingston Residence of Vermilion.

He was born on July 20, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late James and Evelyn (Foote) Kramer.

Survivors include his son, James “Jamie” Laurents (Laura) Kramer of Edgerton, Kansas; daughters, Carolyn Dianne (Frank) Estrada of Tiffin, Wendy Leigh (David O’Brien) Kramer of Shoreline, Washington, Ellen (Donald) Bell of Tiffin; sisters, Claudia (Jeff) Springer, Janet (Craig) Peer; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Jack graduated from Heidelberg University in 1969, with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He worked for Heidelberg University for 50 years as a water quality lab chemist. Jack ran the water quality lab and helped it grow throughout the years. Jack was a member of Kiwanis for 20 years and served on the Kiwanis Manor Board. He also served as the president of the Heidelberg Beach Homeowners’ Association. Jack enjoyed trivia, geography, fishing, and bowling; and even bowled a 300 game. Jack loved spending time with his family and loved ones and was a loyal friend.

Arrangements are being handled by Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory. There will be a Celebration of Life Service at a later date.
