James Cady Phillips, 94, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at his home.
He was born on July 10, 1926, in Marion County, Ohio, to John N. and Esther (Flowers) Phillips. On June 25, 1949, he married Dorothy M. Kastner.
Survivors include his son, Jeffrey Lee (Cathy) Phillips of Keller, TX; daughters, Kathleen A. Coleman of Tiffin and Diane M. (Steve) England of Republic; brother, Loren Phillips of Bowling Green; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 2 great, great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy M. Phillips; son, Raymond James Phillips; daughters, Jane C. Shock, Nancy J. Phillips and Rebecca L. Phillips; brothers, Robert, Walter, Craig and Morris Phillips; and sisters, Arlene Hines and Martha Lambert
James served in the United States Army from 1944 to 1946 and worked at Webster for over 24 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, yardwork, camping, RVing around the country and in the local area, traveling, making crafts for his wife, building his own home and decorating at Church for the holidays.
His Funeral Service will be private. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
